What we do.

We work from the plans, coordinate with other trades and check pipe positions before the slab is poured.

Underslab and slab stage

Before the concrete slab is poured, we install all underslab drainage, sewer connections, and water service penetrations. Pipe positions must match the plans before the slab is poured. Moving a pipe later may require cutting the concrete, so we check each position against the drawings.

Rough-in

After framing, we install all water supply and waste pipes through the walls and floors. This includes hot and cold water lines, waste pipes for every fixture, and gas lines for heating, hot water, and cooking. We pressure test all supply lines and video all waste lines before walls are closed in.

Top-out

At the roof stage, we connect roof drainage (downpipes, gutters, and stormwater), install hot water systems, and complete external pipework. This stage also includes connecting gas ducted heating if specified in the build.

Fit-off

The final stage. After painting and tiling are complete, we install all finished fixtures: toilets, basins, tapware, shower heads, baths, dishwasher connections, and laundry taps. We test every fixture, check every connection, and hand over a fully functional plumbing system ready for occupation.

Certify and hand over.

We lodge all compliance certificates with Access Canberra, including plumbing and gas certificates. You receive a fully compliant, tested, and documented plumbing system ready for occupation and inspection.

As early as possible. Ideally, engage your plumber during the planning and design stage so we can review the drawings, advise on pipe routes and fixture positions, and ensure the design is practical from a plumbing perspective.
