Terms of Service
These terms of service apply to all plumbing and gas fitting services provided by Revolution Plumbing and Gas Fitting (ABN 85 217 626 924, Licence #2022722), operated by Jack Macfadyen in Canberra, ACT.
1. Services
Revolution Plumbing and Gas Fitting provides plumbing, gas fitting, and related services to residential and commercial properties across Canberra and surrounding areas. All work is carried out by licensed and insured tradespeople in accordance with ACT regulations and the Australian Plumbing Code.
2. Quotes and Pricing
We provide upfront, written quotes before any work begins. Key details:
- All quotes are provided in writing (via email, SMS, or in person) and include a clear breakdown of the work to be performed.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.
- If additional work is identified during the job that was not included in the original quote, we will inform you and provide a revised quote before proceeding.
- Emergency call-out work may be quoted on site prior to commencement.
3. Acceptance and Scheduling
By accepting a quote (verbally, in writing, or by instructing us to proceed), you agree to these terms of service. We will schedule the work at a mutually agreed time and make every effort to arrive within the nominated window.
4. Payment Terms
- Payment is due on completion of the work, unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing.
- We accept bank transfer, credit card, and cash.
- For larger projects, a deposit or progress payments may be required as outlined in the quote.
- Invoices not paid within 14 days of the due date may incur a late payment fee.
5. Workmanship Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our work. All labour performed by Revolution Plumbing and Gas Fitting is covered by our workmanship guarantee. If a problem arises with work we have completed, contact us and we will return to inspect and rectify the issue at no additional cost.
Manufacturer warranties on parts and fixtures are separate and subject to the manufacturer's terms. We will provide you with relevant warranty documentation where applicable.
6. Access and Site Conditions
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area. If access is restricted, hazardous, or conditions differ materially from what was described at the time of quoting, we reserve the right to revise the quote or reschedule the work.
7. Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a cancellation fee to cover the reserved time slot.
8. Limitation of Liability
Revolution Plumbing and Gas Fitting is fully insured. Our liability is limited to the scope of work agreed in the quote. We are not liable for pre-existing defects, damage caused by third parties, or issues arising from the customer's failure to follow our recommendations.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the ACT, Australia.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. The terms in effect at the time your quote is accepted will apply to that engagement.
